Join us for the pumpkin smash play event! We will bring post-Halloween pumpkins and rubber mallets. You bring the kids in clothes that can get messy.  Feel free to bring your own pumpkins, too!  There will also be other materials available for open-ended  creative play. We hope to see you at this joyful outlet for kids’ expressions of destruction and creation!

This is a fundraising event to support the ongoing work of Portland Free Play, providing play programs for the kids who need them most. We are excited to partner with the new Portland Children's Garden for their first public event. Donations to the event will be evenly split between Portland Free Play and Portland Children's Garden, which will put donations towards their infrastructure fund to build the garden.

Accessibility and Safety notes: The future Portland Children's Garden site is currently a vacant lot with uneven ground and no fence. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver before entering the event. There will be a portable toilet on-site for the event. There will be street parking as the parking option.
